Buying Towers

Towers can be purchased in special land control shops in Athen (clans), Rome (Omni-Tek) and Borealis (neutrals). The best towers must be created using trade-skills. Type /help in the chat-box and click on “Game-play->Creating Items” to get more information about the trade-skill process.

Placing Controllers

Controllers can only be placed in special land control areas. To find land suitable for colonization, click on the land control button in the map view. A Green hue will appear over areas where towers can be placed. The quality level of the towers must be within the minimum and maximum levels shown in the map view, in order to place them. Place a Controller in a green area of the map by right-clicking the Control Tower item in your inventory. There are five Controller types in all and each organization can place one of each.

Placing Land Control Towers

Land Control Towers can only exist in an area already controlled by your organization. The tower’s zone of influence will appear on the map view with a circle around it. Place a Land Control Tower inside the area controlled by your organization (this area is in some cases really large and can house more than 20 land control towers) by right-clicking the tower item in your inventory. There is a limit to how many towers each person can own!

Tower Placement Limit

You can have one tower at level 15, two at level 75, three at level 150 and four at level 200.

Placing Service Towers

Service Towers can be built anywhere except indoors. They can even be placed in enemy-controlled areas. You can only own one Service Tower at a time.

Attacking Towers and Controllers

Every tower has an anti-aggression shield and you have to destroy it before you can attack the tower. It is done by using a shield-disabler (sold in the land control shops). Towers will fight back, and the Controller will be virtually indestructible until the surrounding towers have been destroyed. You can only attack and be attacked by a tower where the suppression gas level is at 25% or less. The Controllers in occupied areas cause suppression gas levels to fluctuate! Press “F9” to see the current gas level. Type /help and click on “Game-play->Attacking” for more details.

Winning and Losing Areas

An organization loses control of land when its Control Tower is destroyed. Should an area owned by your organization be attacked, you will be notified through your organization’s chat channel (Org. Towers). There is a special exit on the bottom floor of the Grid for quick access to the area.

Dangers of Attacking! IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If you decide to attack a Land Control Tower or a Controller, two things will happen:

1. Any towers your organization owns will immediately become attackable.

2. If your organization has no towers, or you are not part of an organization, you will immediately be flagged as “PvP enabled”. This means that you can be attacked for a certain amount of time, no matter where you are! Your name will have stars (**name**) to each side indicating that you are PvP-flagged.
